Why we built Starward.
Starward Navigators builds follow-up and client acquisition infrastructure for consulting and advisory firms. We started it because we kept watching good firms lose work they had already earned — not to a competitor, but to silence.
The deals were not lost. They were dropped.
A proposal went out, the week got busy, and nobody owned the second follow-up. The prospect was not a no. They were never asked again.
A referral partner sent one client and never heard back. The relationship that produced revenue was the one nobody had time to maintain.
Won work sat between sales and delivery for a week while someone re-keyed details from an email thread into a spreadsheet.
Why CRMs keep failing small consulting firms
Most CRMs are built for teams that sell in volume — inside sales floors with a dedicated operations person to configure the thing and keep it clean. A consulting firm has none of that. The person doing business development is usually the same person delivering the work, and often the person who owns the company.
So the firm buys software, imports contacts, and inherits a blank system. It now owns a second job: decide what the pipeline stages should be, write the follow-up sequences, build the automations, and maintain all of it forever. That work competes directly with billable time, and billable time wins. Within a quarter the CRM is a contact list with a monthly invoice attached.
The problem was never that these firms lacked software. It is that blank software asks the customer to supply the expertise, and the expertise is exactly what they were trying to buy.
Follow-up should not depend on anyone remembering.
Consistency is a systems problem, not a discipline problem. If revenue depends on a busy person recalling the right next step at the right time, the revenue is already at risk.
We install the system. You run your firm.
It arrives already working
Pipelines shaped like a consulting sale, proposal follow-up on a schedule, no-show recovery, client handoff and referral nurture — published and running before you log in for the first time.
Small consulting and advisory firms
Consulting firms, advisory practices, fractional executives and management consultants — firms where the people who sell the work also deliver it.
Not another tool to reconcile
CRM, scheduling, messaging, proposals and automation in one place, so the follow-up does not live in a different system from the record it belongs to.
A system you would still use in month six
Any firm can be enthusiastic in week one. The test we hold ourselves to is whether the system is still running — and still being trusted — once the novelty has worn off and the calendar is full again.
Who operates Starward Navigators
Starward Navigators is operated by AmbitionCFO, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Starward Navigators. The same company provides the Starward Edge application and the implementation work that comes with every plan.
Our background is financial and operational advisory work, which is where this product came from: we saw the revenue side of small professional firms up close, and the same leak appeared in nearly all of them.
Questions about the company, the software, or an engagement go to our contact page, and our full terms and privacy commitments are published at Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
